Job Description

The Compensation & Benefits Specialist will manage the development, implementation, and delivery of dentalcorp compensation and benefit offerings including all policies and programs for all Support Centre and Practice Community employees. Along with providing day to day support for all compensation and benefits inquiries, the Compensation & Benefits Specialist will identify competitive positioning regarding corporate benefits and rewards in order to attract and retain top talent.



1.             Manage all employee compensation and benefits policies and procedures  

2.             Relationship management between internal and external stakeholders

3.             Develop BLUE Rewards program



  • Planning, organizing and directing all inquiries related to group health, group life, dental, and vision benefits

  • Coordinate work flow and procedures between compensation, employee benefits and other departments

  • Develop and further implement enhancements to the BLUE Rewards program
  • Provide creative and innovative analysis of compensation and benefits programs in order to provide recommendations for revisions, improvements, and/or introductions
  • Act as a liaison between all health plan representatives and employees

  • Administer monthly benefit reconciliation

  • Provide compensation and benefits expertise in support of business strategies including mergers and acquisitions

  • Lead problem solving and resolution with internal and external stakeholders regarding compensation and benefits

  • Coordinate training within the dentalcorp practice community to explain benefit procedures and offerings as required

  • Ensure ethical policies and procedures are maintained in all benefit related programs

  • Other duties as assigned



  • Post-Secondary education in business or related field

  • 1-3 years of related Compensation and Benefits experience in a professional business environment

  • CEBS or other relevant designation or experience, or working towards completion of such designation(s)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills; proven ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships across diverse groups and levels
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite including Advanced Excel skills

  • Maintains high attention to detail in order to manage records and data, and meet deadlines

  • Demonstrates creative and innovative communication leadership

  • Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously
