Festival Hydro, in Stratford, Ontario, is seeking a Human Resources / Health and Safety Specialist to fulfill a newly created role within the organization. Serving as the primary contact for Human Resources services, this role will collaborate with strategic partners and stakeholders to ensure that policies, programs and practices in Human Resources and Health and Safety are compliant and consistent with the future vision and direction of Festival Hydro.
The incumbent is responsible for all Human Resources programs for the facility; including recruitment, policy administration, performance management, training, and benefits administration; and Health & Safety services including safe work practices, certification, regulatory compliance, safety system maintenance, JH&S committee support, and WHMIS matters.
The successful candidate will have a post secondary education in Business, Human Resources or Health and Safety accompanied by the CHRL designation. Preference will be given to candidates with the CRSP / CHSC Designation. The role requires 3 to 5 years of experience in a Human Resources Management position in a unionized environment, in addition to 3 to 5 years managing a Health and Safety program. This is a Fulltime Permanent position. NOTE: Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered.
