Salary $66,200.03 - $75,658.71 annually
The Receivables Management Office is responsible for developing overall strategy, business processes, and collection of outstanding accounts receivable for all tax and non-tax programs managed by the Ministry of Finance.
The Supervisor, Policy, Research and Administration manages a diverse team providing program and legislative research, strategic policy development and analysis, and legislative recommendations to senior executives with respect to a wide range of issues impacting several taxation collection areas. The position also oversees the delivery of legal and collections support services for the Receivables Management Office.
The RMO Policy and Program Lead is accountable for leading policy, program analysis and evaluation, and legislative initiatives through all phases, including problem definition, research design and development, consideration of alternative strategies, implications and selection of alternatives for recommendation and implementation. The Advisor also plays a lead role in the development of treasury board submissions, briefing notes, ministerial correspondence, etc.
Qualifications for this role include:
Undergraduate degree in a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred) and six years related policy development experience or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Experience in researching, planning, developing, implementing, analyzing and evaluating strategic and operational policies.
Experience in data collection and data management, use of databases and accessing data from databases.
Experience in drafting briefing notes, backgrounders, etc.
Experience managing projects and project teams
2 years supervisory experience (preferably in a union environment) or equivalent
